Overview
An LED floor in a science museum atrium that answers each footstep with ripples across a shallow lake.
Children understand an LED floor at once: they run onto it. Sensors in each module read footsteps, and the surface answers with rings spreading across a shallow lake, pebbles visible under the water. The modules are built to be walked on, with a protective face and a matte finish against glare. Between visits, the floor rests as still water or switches to a teaching program.
