Process
From first sketch to first season.
One team carries each project through five steps. Some projects start at step one. Others arrive with a design already drawn and start at step three.
-
01
Concept
We study the site: who passes it, from where, how fast and at what hours. Then we draw two or three form options at true scale.
- Site notes and sightline study
- Two or three form options
- Preliminary size and LED area
-
02
Previs
Photographic stills and short films show the form in its setting, at the hours it will be seen, before anything is fabricated.
- Stills at day, dusk and night
- Short motion studies
- Content tests on the real geometry
-
03
Engineering
The form becomes drawings: module and cabinet layout, steel, suspension or foundations, power, data, heat and service access.
- Module and cabinet layout
- Structural design, coordinated with the building team
- Power, data, heat and service access
-
04
Install
Fabrication, assembly on site and calibration, module by module, until the surface reads as one image.
- Fabrication and test fit
- Assembly on site
- Calibration and handover
-
05
Content
Launch content composed for the form, then a program that follows the year, with remote monitoring behind it.
